Leadership Development
I care deeply about people having the opportunity to lead others well and, in turn, to be well led by others.
My work is rooted in several simple beliefs: leadership is about human connection, not position and anyone can be a really effective leader, you just need to have the right mindset and willingness to learn.
I bring over fifteen years’ experience across military, charity and civilian contexts. After training for a year at the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, I led troops on operations in Afghanistan and later worked for the Centre for Army Leadership. It was here that I collaborated with globally-renowned experts to design and deliver engaging and meaningful leadership workshops which were open to all serving personnel. I have also worked as head of training development for the Initial Officer Training programme for the Army Cadet Force, the UK’s largest youth charity. Furthermore, I’ve delivered leadership development programmes in industry across the UK, the US and Austria.
As a qualified teacher and coach, I believe people work best when they’re actively involved in their own learning. Rather than simply ‘telling’ people how to lead, I create space for deep reflection and honest conversations which are all combined with experiential learning. Development is therefore personal, practical and meaningful; insights are turned in to behaviours, not just ideas. Participants leave with greater self-awareness, confidence and practical tools to help build their leadership impact.
