Cultural Assessment
What’s it actually like to work here?
Is the culture in your organisation supporting growth or sabotaging it?
An organisation with a strong culture where employees feels safe, well led, and meaningfully engaged will perform better than those with weak leadership, low employee engagement and few opportunities to develop.
Culture is often very hard to see 'from the inside'. A cultural assessment conducted by expert outsiders, cuts through the blind spots by allowing employees to speak openly and honestly about what life is like in the organisation. My cultural assessments are solutions-focussed with participants being encouraged to come up with their own suggestions for how to develop life in the organisation. Additionally, I encourage employees to share and celebrate the organisation's strengths and successes and use them as a building block for change.
I come with a deep experience of organizing and leading cultural assessments both for the military and in industry (in particular mergers and acquisitions). My field-based work is ethically sound and confidential and, through individual or group sessions, we get to the heart of what working there is like.
Once sessions are complete, I offer ‘hot debriefs’ to the senior leadership team and then, using rigorous social sciences research methods, I translate findings in to a written report with balanced, actionable recommendations, taken from the employees themselves, to enable meaningful and lasting change.
